Sea Salt and Sunflowers

Last night the family and I went for a little drive to go see some sunflowers. I was expecting to see a small field with a few flowers here and there, but was pleasantly suprised when I saw acres of blooming yellow faces. It was beautiful! I have never seen anyting like it before in my life. Flowers towering over five feet tall with leaves the size of my hands. God's creation sure is wonderul!

Before we headed down to see what the all the buzz was about, the hubby snatched a few pics of me in some of my lastest items. Sea Salt and Honey Boutique sent me the cutest shirt for fall and I am swooning over the sleeves. I am all about a little pop of color and the sleeves have just enough to grab one's attention.

These boots from Just Fab have easily become my new favorite go to. They are perfect for running errands, date night, and even taking my little girls out. Chasing kids around does not always allow for the cutest shoes, but these booties have just enough heel to make me feel like a rock star mom. Just fab can be a big commitment if you do not want to spend $40 every month so I have found a similar pair linked here.

Todays blog was short and sweet, how every Monday shoukd be. Am I right or am I right?! Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go edit some of the family pictures we took. I am swooning over how they came out and cannot wait you show them to the rest of you!!

"Wood time is it Mr.Fox" Giveaway

My daughters and I have started to play a new favorite game, "What time is it Mr. Fox"? My youngest who is almost 2, does not quite understand and likes to yell "Fox" every time. It is the cutest thing! My older daughter who is starting kindergarten in a few weeks, loves to play and I am realizing it is a great transition into teacher her time.

In our house, the only place to find the time is on the microwave. Other than that we use our cell phones. We used to have alarm clocks, but those eventually just took up too much space and we eneded up getting rid of them. Being able to look at our cell phone for time is wonderful however if my phone is close by I am going to most likely be on it. There are so many amazing apps I can distract myself with, and before I know it I have wasted 30 minutes that could have been spent with my girls. That is why having a watch is so nice. It allows me to keep distractions at bay, and focus on the more important things in life.

Woodwatches sent me this beautiful watch that I cannot stop swooning over. It has such a unique look to it, I have never seen a design like this before! I love candy, ESPECIALLY arm candy and this watch makes dressing up a little bit more fun. You can find this exact style here.

I have teamed up with Jord to give one winner a $75 e-voucher towards any watch of their choosing. Everyone else who enters will receive a $20 e-voucher that can be applied to any watch on our website. Entering the giveaway is simple! All you have to do, is enter you email address. It takes 10 seconds! Click here to enter. The giveaway will remain open until August 26. The winner will be notified by email the day after. May the odds ever be in your favor!

Lace-ups with a side of Rouge

This was such a fun outfit to put together! I love the casual look of the button down with the pop of royalty when adding the tulle skirt. I found the skirt from charlotte russe for only $5! Can you believe it? I went shopping at the outlet center in Baton Rouge and stumbled upon this classy find. I have a thing for tulle skirts it appears from looking at this blog! :)

This chambray button down was purchased in the spring and it is my go to. I love to match it  with leggings and a white shirt or throw it over a tee when I get cold. If you do not own one I have attached a link at the bottom. Grab one, trust me you will thank me later. It goes with everything!!

So lets talk abut these shoes! Can you guess how much these cost? $5!! Once I saw that they were lace ups I knew they were coming home with me. I mean can you blame me?! It was either grab a coffee for $5 and gain weight from all the sugar or buy these heels and strengthen my calf muscle while walking around. Ok, ok, maybe that was a bit of a stretch but close enough right?!

So can we talk about the one thing missing from all of this? A necklace! It was not until I was looking through these pictures that I realized I never brought a necklace to the shoot with me. SO that is where YOU come in. I need YOUR help! What type of necklace would you pair with this outfit? Statement? Delicate? Long? Help me decide for the next time!

I hope I can inspire you even just the slightest bit to try something fun and new! Fashion is all about personal style. Showcase yours!!

A Summer's Eve in White

I currently am in the car with family driving down to Virginia for a wedding  so today's blog post will be short and sweet. Just the way every Wednesday should be. :)

I went to the mall several weeks ago with my daughters and  saw a dress that caught my eye in the window. As soon as I saw it I knew I HAD to have it, however the price always has to be right. Rue21 is not a store I normally shop in however this dress was so light and airy and it was marked at $30, but don't let that price fool you because it just recently was clearanced down to $12!

I received many compliments on this dress when my hubby and I went out the other night, so I knew I had to share where I bought it for the rest of you!

All details of where to shop this look are down below. Dresses are going fast!

A Fairy Tale Wedding

Last weekend I went down to Virginia for a family wedding. My cousin, who was my best friend growing up married her boyfriend of almost 5 years. It was a HOT southern wedding with an outdoor reception. I believe that day was 103 degrees! But we had so much fun and I was able to see so much of my out of town family, I loved every second of it!

This outfit not only made me feel like a princess, but was so fun to coordinate! I bought the skirt from Versona but unfortunately it is not listed online. If you have a Versona store near you, there is a good chance it is still being sold in stores, as I bought the skirt several weeks ago.

The top is from TJ Maxx.  As soon as I saw it I loved it right away, but as a mom of two I was not about to walk around town with my stomach hanging out. Anything highwaisted was in my vision to pair with it. This top will be great to pair with high waisted flared jeans for fall.

The Shoes were a Forever 21 buy. This specific style is quite popular so you can very well find this pair online. However, this pair is so comfortable! I have been wearing heals since I was a young teen and I was able to keep them on all night even during dancing.

So in true Savvy Girl form I had to find you a discount on this skirt. The ever so sweet Cindy did us a sweet favor and hooked us up with some amazing discounts! She is also a Bachelor Fan and is giving away a $10 off code for everyone who picked the winner on last nights finale of "The Bachelor". Use code SGSBACHELORPICK10OFF for $10 off her tulle skirt. On top of that she is offering free shipping this week. Use Code SHIPMETULLEFREE2016. How awesome is she! Here is her site.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!!

A Feminine Touch-Zaful Inspired

Welcome to the new week! Sundays have always been one of my favorite days, mostly because it is spent going to church and being with my family. It is the slow ease into the work week and the end to a usually busy weekend. If only Sundays could be stretched into two days. :)

Yesterday was a girls day for my oldest and myself. My one year old came my down with a nasty cold so she spent the day snuggling with daddy and I was able to have some quality time with my big girl. We dont usually have that quality time together so we soaked up every minute of it.

We spent the morning together having breakfast at a local restaurant then later on that night we did a little photo shoot before shopping. She took some pictures of me and then I took some of her! We had a blast and I cant believe how well these pictures actually came out for a five year old taking them!

I recently started working with Zaful and this beautiful Kimono was sent to me. Every woman should own atleast one kimono and this floral print is everything girly and feminine mixed together. It fits like a glove and is very light and airy so it is perfect to wear this summer and into fall. Click HERE for coupon codes that can be applied to the Kimono. Zafuls website is very easy to direct and make sure to check out their shoe collection as well. Im esepcially going crazy for fall booties!

I am so, so excited to tell you all that I finally found this purse. It took quite a bit of searching but I found this style AND in three different colors. The purse retails for $32, but if you sign up for their emails they instantly send you a code for 25% off 1st purchase. Making the purse $24, $1 less than what I paid for. I was on a mission to find this purse for what I paid $25, and I found it for cheaper. Love when that happens!

I purchased these lace up flats earlier this spring and have worn them all throughout summer. Lace up flats have been trending for quite some time now, so If you do not own a pair yet stop by Gray Monroe and snag these, they even have free shipping!

I hope you have a blessed Sunday and that it is spent relaxing and enjoying the last month of summer!

A Naughtical Night

This outfit has easily become my favorite date night look.It is cute, casual, yet dressy enough to be able to wear to a classy restaurant. Plus we all know the off the shoulder look is the current trend these days.

I found this shirt at a goodwill for $3 with tags still on! I do not think you can find a better deal than that. I can not help but wonder if the person who donated it, realized what a good find they were giving up! Oh well, my gain now.

I was afraid I would not be able to find this top for all of you because lets face it, anything found in a goodwill is not very likely to be found online. However, I searched for a while and found almost the identical top at Nordrstrom. I should have just looked there originally, I mean c'mon its Nordstrom for crying out loud!! :)

These high waisted jeans were a steal from Aeropostale, $20. However they are no longer in stock but I found an identical pair from a new site I just recently started working with. You can find them here. If you sign up for their email, they will send you a 20% off coupon. I also found another pair from boohoo.com. Use code: ALL30 for 30% off you purchase.

The Shoes were a target find from several months ago. They are no longer in stock so I have linked a Jessica Simpson pair as well as a pair by Penny loves Kenny. Both are under $50.

I am wearing two different necklaces here. First one is from an amazing shop on etsy. You will find it located here. This is a highly trusted seller with over 50,000 sales! I have worked with the owner and she is fantastic! The other necklace is from Forever21. So there you have it! I hope you have enjoyed this look.

My Versona Style

Monday. This love hate relationship I have with you is really killing me. I had the most wonderful week and weekend away with family and am now coming down off of that high and it is not easy to say the least.Thank goodness bachelor is on tonight. Does anyone else have the same guilty pleasure as I do?! The drama is so ridiculous yet I cannot get enough.

Anyways, I found this dress on the sale rack at the cutest boutique called Versona. The only way to describe the feel of it would be to call it cotton silk. Makes no sense right? I know, but needless to say it feels like I am walking around in pajamas. If you have a Versona store nearby and have never been I encourage you to check it out. I brought my toddler with me and if you’re a mama who has to shop with children we all know how that goes. Knocked over displays, playing hide and seek and squealing with excitement. I am sure they were happy to see us leave.

If you have ever seen Kristin Cavallari shoe line, your eyes may drool with infatuation. However my budget does not always allow me to purchase her shoes. I had been eyeing a pair of grey open toe booties for several months when I found an almost identical pair on gojane.com. Price difference $110! Now I know exspensive shoes usually mean better quality but these $30 boots are so comfy and will last several seasons!

The statement necklace was a steal for $4. Lulu’s had a killer sale with free shipping that day so i was all over that deal! I tend to go for the more softer and delicate look, so this necklace made me reach out of my comfort zone. I am glad i did. Ok, Motherhood is calling  and I need to tend to my little minions. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Details of where to shop the look are below.

Anniversary Night

The hubby and I celebrated our anniversary Sunday night at The Cheesecake Factor. Six years ago we promised to stand by each others side regardless of what life would bring us and that promise sure has been put to the test. As crazy as the last six years have been, hard and trying, I would do it all over again. Tim is my rock and best friend and such a strong support. If I could give one peice of advice to any ladies who have not found the on yet, it would be not to settle. Stay patient bwcaus there are amazing men out there. :)

I have a shoe and purse obsession. If one catches my eye, I am immediately pondering what outfits I can pair with it. This bag from Handbag-Addict is not only an eye catcher but has enough space to fit all the things a mom would need. I still have little ones so a diaper bag is needed however I like to upgrade mine and have something more stylish. This bag is sturdy, fashionable, and easy to pair with almost any outfit. I choose the salmon color, however there are multiple colors to choose from.

To say I am kind of obsessing over this dress is slightly an understatment. I can wear this as a dress in the summer, a tunic in the fall and winter, and pair it with some leggings in the spring. Its comfortable, cute and super light weight. It can even be worn as a maternity top for all my pregnant mamas. Our meal Sunday was a major carb overload and this dress hid any food baby bumb that may have been forming post dinner. I would never promote or share an outfit I did not love and this dress by far is one of my favorites. All the details of this outfit are listed below:

Baton Rouge Style

In June the family and I went on vacation to the deep, deep south of Lousiana. It was hot, humid, and wonderful. We see my sister and her family about once a year so I always look forward to the beginning of summer when I know our trip is planned. My sister is a newborn photograpger in Baton Rouge so I asked her if she would be willing to snap a few pics for me. Of course she said yes, and you can easily see she has an eye for creativity because she made me look like a professional when I had no clue what I was doing. The work of a great artist!

This dress I found online at Forever21 was such a great find because it can be so versitile. I chose to style it with a few necklaces and lace up heels for an easy summer feel.
